Ongoing (relative) “heat wave” – drought conditions return: Open fire ban in effect

Southern Colorado Rocky Mountains, Dec. 2, 2017

Just a couple examples of what seems “just slightly peculiar…”.

If you’re puzzled why I bother, see !!!-> (Nov. 27, 2017) Why ‘WHERE’ matters, and the preceding 10/100/1000+ blogposts…

Because the y-axis is in logarithmic scale and makes the changes sometimes almost invisible at first glance, I’ve copy-paste-STRETCHED the y-axis to show more detail.  Whether they go up or down isn’t the main piece, as data processing shifts and other trickery can be applied to mask evidence of major radioactive fallout events. Whatever it was, likely a nuclear meltdown accident on par with Chernobyl or even Fukushima-Daiichi, is affecting radiation monitors across the entire Northern Hemisphere.  Diversion stories bullshitting about a little harmless whiff of pharmaceutical Ruthenium-106 “from Russia” don’t hold up to scrutiny, whatsoever.  Pointing that out to mainstream media outlets has so far not made one iota of difference, suggesting a cover-up of epic proportions…

  1. Many thanks for linking. Thank you for your detailed work. I keep wondering, as well, the source of the plume. It must be Fukushima AND probably something in Russia AND in the USA. Part of Fukushima discharges go to the Arctic. And, how much is traveling with the jet stream? I think that nuclear accidents must be happening all of the time just based on the shoddy way waste is handled and the shoddy condition of the nuclear power station. When there are chemical spills on rivers as the pollution floats by others open their valves and add to the pollution. The same happened during Chernobyl – one German nuclear power site ran an experiment under the cover of the Chernobyl plume. A few years ago both the EU and some part of the US government-states forced experts to be witnesses regarding the sorry state of the reactors and waste canisters. Apparently they have chosen to sit on the information, which is criminal plus they wasted the time and energy of over 100 experts. Better solutions exist for waste and clean-up but patents challenged-sat on. Even Union for Concerned Scientists was offered a model showing how dangerous the Holtec-Areva waste cans are but rejected it. I am told that some of the high level waste cans have leaked and they just but them in transport casks. We are just so fxcked. I especially appreciate those who are brave, like yourself, and haven’t given up. It is so disgusting not to find out about exposures until days, months, years, decades afterwards. One might have at least chosen to not go outdoors while the worst passed by.

Thanks ‘miningawareness’ – Yeah [sigh]… It’s surreal,… and sad, and infuriating, and bewildering, and stunning… And yet… we need to / MUST keep it up, if nothing else ‘just documenting’ until an avenue to actually successfully affect helpful changes in that industrial madhouse opens up.

  3. The documentation needs to be systematic and methodical as you are doing, as well. I am very bad at waiting until the Geiger goes up and then checking wind direction. I sent a Geiger to someone near Sellafield but they didn’t get a reading beside Sellafield itself until early October. Even then I don’t know if it is “normal” Sellafield. I wanted them to just check their garden, though and on a routine basis. I think that high gamma was coming from the North Atlantic to the US during the Ruthenium link but the Arctic is a nuclear sink. My blog started as against Mining in Haiti and was to be 3 posts only but I got a nasty email from someone also doing uranium mining in Peru and that’s how I got dragged into the topic. I learned a lot of things I wish I didn’t know. There are many engineers who want to stop the nuclear infestation into their standards organizations but can’t seem to stop it and all are scared with good reason.

systematic and methodical would be nice too for folks with Geiger Counters. Nowadays, I try to give as much detail as possible, including whether the pancake is in vertical or horizontal position (makes about a 15% difference due to earth shine and cosmic rays); elevation, weather, inside/outside, Beta window exposed or covered, distance from surface, etc.

I got “dragged into the topic” ;-) because I wanted to better understand what was being reported, which is what gave rise to the Radiation Units & Conversions Page, and then the Online Radiation Monitoring page… but it became very apparent that the spokespeople were lying (by omission mainly), so I began to dig… Here we are 6+ years later… And it’s become somewhat of “a hobby”… One most of don’t do because it’s so fun, but because we feel compelled, and the government, which has all the best measuring equipment is appallingly complicit with the very industry it’s supposed to keep an eye on… Well… you know. Keep it up!
