SLV – End of August 2015 Photos

San Luis Valley (SLV), Southern Colorado, September 2, 2015

Rain cleared out the Pacific Northwest’s wildfires smoke.  Mornings can already be a bit autumn-like chilly, but daytime has been gorgeous “Indian Summer”-kind of lovely.  May it continue well into October! ;-)

Here some photos (© Michaël Van Broekhoven – Please don’t use my pics – DISCLAIMER) from the last two weeks of August, all taken in or near Crestone, Colorado:

    Beautiful Photos Once Again!

Again, beautifull pictures, Michael. Nevertheless the sky scenes are partly scary, arent´t they? (strontium, barium, alu, kobalt, what else do these clouds offer us nowadays??)! If we only knew…

I know what you mean. Mentioned about that in the next post,

but at the same time… I’m up at 8,200 ft altitude in the American SouthWest. Skies have had beautiful pastels here quite often long before the nuclear era. Not that it’s all natural nowadays. I don’t know. I’ve only seen a few “truly odd skies”. These were just pretty, in my view.

Look at some colors in te skies in pre-WW2 skies over Central Asia via
