Recent UFOs over the Colorado Rockies (Oct 2014)

DISCLAIMER – Crestone, November 29, 2014

The news is almost 2 months old, and I didn’t even witness it myself, but it’s come up in conversatitions recently, so I thought I’d share it here:

  • On Oct 3, 2014 in the afternoon, some kind of shiny object, two in fact, were seen hovering over Crestone and Hooper, Colorado.  Several friends witnessed it.  It was video-taped [click through the image to watch on YouTube]:
  • Just 3 days later, Oct. 6, 2014, the same type of unindentified objects were seen over Breckenridge, Colorado (a ski town 105 miles north of Crestone).  Those were confirmed by law enforcement and made the news:

No idea what those were.

I read it in 2005 and found some of it intriguing, and the whole quite entertaining.

This being Colorado (or the whole West for that matter), my guess would be ‘experimental military’, but it would be only that, a guess.  Outside of dreams or substance- or sleep deprivation-induced altered states, I’ve never seen a true ‘Unidentified Flying Object’ myself.  Not yet.

I hope to see some some day. ;-)   Various kinds are reportedly fairly frequently observed in this Southern Colorado region.   So much, there’s even books about the phenomenon. (Example, left.)

For orientation, a map showing Breckenridge and Crestone, with a couple other reference points in the general area:
