Skies over Belgium

Western Sky around Sunrise (Jan. 17, 2012), as seen from attic in Herent, Belgium. Atmospheric conditions were ideal for contrails to linger.

And it isn’t even remotely as busy in the air over Belgium as it often is over London or Paris, for instance.   Check out this fun (yet not yet complete) ‘Virtual Radar‘,, of which this is an afternoon screenshot showing (a rough guess of) the area of the sky visual to me as I post this:

The red circle lies over central Belgium, including Brussels. It is busier in the sky over Western Europe than this virtual radar suggests. Click image to access
