Home is where the hearth is?

August 17, 2011 3pm – Jackson, WY.

Entered western Wyoming on Route 89 North.  As  the sun went down, I set up camp on some random Forest Service campground between Alpine and Jackson, WY – and enjoyed the quiet by the camp fire.  Chilly morning, though.  Wowza. Didn’t think I would have to dig out my winter jacket this soon.  It already gets down to 35 F at night (2 C), but during the day it is still a lovely 84 F (28 C).   Mountains…

A buzzing hummingbird greeted me right in front of my face as I crawled out of my tent in the morning.   Life is good.
