The list of countries from where some trafic has come continues to grow. ;-) Very entertaining. Surprising was to see two views from China just before this past weekend. Wordpress is still reportedly banned there. Very odd. A glitch?
Here the map with “blog views from” (February 25 – April 25, 2012):

Greenland is technically part of Denmark; and Spitsebergen part of Norway, but I guess they're independent when it comes to internet trafic statistics. Holding out: Bolivia, Cuba, Iran and most of Central Asia, Nepal, North Korea, Myanmar, most of Africa and most of Central America.
Two months in with country-specific blog stats on WordPress, my little insignificant blog saw over 100 views from these 14 countries:
- United States …….. 4,284
- Canada …………………. 852
- Japan ……………………. 516
- United Kingdom …… 501
- Belgium ………………… 305
- Australia ………………. 288
- Germany ……………… 278
- Netherlands …………. 207
- France ………………….. 136
- Austria …………………. 121
- India ……………………. 105
- Switzerland ………….. 104
- Sweden ………………… 103
- Italy …………………….. 102
Between 50 and 100 views in the past two months: Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Poland, Republic of Korea, and Greece.
Between 10 and 50 views: Malaysia, Spain, Russian Federation, Czech Republic, Norway, Taiwan, Philippines,Ireland, Romania, New Zealand, Croatia, Brazil, Ukraine, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Thailand, Slovakia, South Africa, Hungary, Slovenia, Turkey, Egypt, Estonia, Lithuania, Portugal, Argentina, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Latvia, Israel, Kuwait, Viet Nam, and Chile.
Between 1 and 10 views: Trinidad and Tobago, Iraq, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Nigeria, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Belarus, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, Guam, Ghana, Jordan, Peru, Senegal, Albania, Jamaica, Syrian Arab Republic, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China !, Bahrain, Iceland, Sudan, Mongolia, Oman, Guyana, Venezuela, Malta, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Benin, Moldova, Georgia, Macao, Grenada, Ethiopia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Luxembourg, Kenya, Uruguay, Botswana, and Ecuador.
Must admit my ignorance on “Saint Kitts and Nevis?”. Where is thát!? Location looks promising…:
Hmmm… Blog Stats can make me dreamy…

If WordPress is banned in China, then does that mean bloggers claiming to be in China are lying? Just wondering (because I had a feeling they were full of it).
Not necessarily. Reportedly you can access the WordPress.com dashboard from China by using a proxy or a VPN, but I know nothing about that. I only know friends in China were unable to get on my blog. Though not the best source, on Wikipedia ‘WordPress’ is still listed (since 2006) as a blocked site in China.
